FLNHS to host 1868 Treaty of Fort Laramie commemorative event

One-hundred and fifty years ago this month, the first of several tribal nations signed the 1868 Treaty of Fort Laramie – an agreement between the U.S. government and sovereign tribal nations of the Northern Great Plains, which promised land ownership, hunting rights and effectively ended Red Cloud’s War along the Bozeman Trail.
